Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1
Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 is the human plasma tripeptide GHK — glycine, histidine, lysine — with a fatty tail bolted on so it will dissolve into a cream and cross into skin. It is the other half of the Matrixyl 3000 blend, and like its partner it is offered as a matrikine: a fragment that cells in the deeper layer of skin read as an instruction to rebuild collagen and the matrix around it. The randomised trial carrying this record's tier tested a multi-component eye cream rather than the peptide alone, three of the six references on file are reviews, and the wrinkle percentages quoted for it come from small supplier-run studies.
