Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate

Dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate, sold as Syn-Ake, is a two-amino-acid ingredient modelled on waglerin-1, a snake-venom peptide that blocks the receptor a nerve uses to tell a muscle to contract. The cosmetic version aims at a much milder and reversible form of the same block, at the muscles that crease expression lines: venom chemistry rebuilt into a face cream. Whether it does that on a living face has not been tested cleanly. The human studies on file had no control group and tested it inside multi-ingredient serums, and the 50 per cent wrinkle-depth figures attached to the ingredient come from supplier studies of 15 and 45 people.
