Acetyl Tetrapeptide-11

Skin is held together at a seam: the upper layer is pinned to the layer beneath by anchoring proteins, and that seam loosens with age. Acetyl tetrapeptide-11, sold by BASF as Syniorage, is a four-amino-acid chain aimed at exactly that join — cell work links it to syndecan-1 and collagen XVII, two of the proteins that do the pinning. The idea is specific and testable. What has not happened yet is the test: the graded studies on file are cell-culture or computer work, and two papers naming this peptide exist anywhere in the indexed literature.
